Tutors provide additional assistance to students with their coursework. Tutors are not course instructors, nor are they substitutes for attending class. They are available to help students clarify course content and help them effectively learn the material.
Appointments will be marked as missed if a student fails to show up or cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice. To avoid a missed appointment penalty, appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time. If canceling an appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, students should email the tutor to let them know of the change of plans.
Students who enter tutoring sessions five or more minutes late are considered late. If a student is more than 15 minutes late to the scheduled appointment (even if a student tells the tutor in advance they will be late), Kujichagulia staff reserves the right to refuse services, mark the appointment as missed, and to ask to reschedule the appointment.
For the time being, tutoring sessions are held online via the Kujichagulia Learning & Wellness Center tutoring portal.
Families should book a tutoring consultation. During tutoring consultations, families will finalize arrangements and pay for the tutoring sessions in full.
